Introducing Joanna
Joanna joined our fantastic team at YPD in October and we'd like to introduce her to you.
She grew up in southern Poland and graduated from Wroclaw Medical University in 1998. Joanna completed her VT training in Wroclaw and worked in Dental Practices in Poland for 5 years before moving to the UK. She moved to Cumbria in 2005 and then to Carlisle in 2012.
Married with 2 children, Joanna's interests include playing the violin, classical music, ballet, opera
Joanna's professional interests are in orthodontics, cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry and providing inhalation sedation for anxious patients.
You'll see her here on a Monday. We invite you to come and meet her :-).
We were over the moon to make it to the finals in the Carlisle Living Awards.

Kids Private Orthodontics
This young patient was unhappy about the gap between his teeth. His mum got in touch with us to find out how we could help. After a course of discreet braces (appointments out of school hours) He is very happy with the result.

A huge well done to our wonderful Lead Dental Nurse, Abbie Willmott on passing her radiography exam with an A result!
We had no doubt that she could do it.
An addition to her existing skills which include sedation nursing, Treatment Coordination and team leadership.

Oral Health Education
In April 2018 we launched our new membership plans for children, teens
Elly's role is to work with both adults and children to help improve their oral health.
Areas covered might include:
• Oral hygiene instruction
• Diet advice
• How to avoid acid erosion
• Fluoride coating to prevent decay
We are delighted to be one of the few dental practices in the county to offer appointments with an Oral Health Educator to our plan members. We pride ourselves on being able to offer the best in preventative dentistry. We want all of our patients to have a healthy mouth for life!
